Children’s Food Festival 2008

Midlands Coop

600 hundred primary school pupils are to be invited to the fourth Children's Food Festival to be held on the Wednesday (1st October) prior to the East Midlands Food & Drink Festival (Weekend 4/5th October). Both events will take place at Brooksby Hall five miles south of Melton Mowbray.

Later in the day secondary pupils from across Leicestershire will be invited to the hall for a range of activities organised directly by Brooksby Melton College.

The programme for the primary pupils will include hands on experience of making their own foods which in the past have included pizzas, bread and pies. There will be exciting demonstrations in our own food theatre, games and the children will also have the opportunity of a farm tour. Previous Children's Festivals have been scored very highly by both pupils and teachers.
